I recently found out a couple of alternatives to kitty litter. One is pony pellets, as opposed to paying about $5 for a 5 kilogram bag of cat litter, I can purchase 20 kilograms of pony pellets for less than $10.
Another alternative is chicken starter feed. Again, I can purchase 20 kilograms of this for a little over $10.
Both alternatives are environmentally friendly and pose no hazards to cats or kittens.
Both can be purchased at produce or feed stores.
